        • Day  1: Bogotá

        Day  2: Bogotá
        Breakfast at the hotel.A staff member from the company will meet you at the hotel to take you on a tour around the historic center of the city. The first stop will be at Plaza de Bolivar to walk along the streets and take a close look of the most important buildings of the city, such as the National Capitol, which is the center of the country's legislative life; Casa de los Comuneros; Casa de Nariño, which is the Presidential house; and the Santa Clara Church Museum. The tour includes a visit to the Gold Museum, which exhibits about 34,000 pieces of metalwork from various Hispanic cultures and a visit to the House Museum Quinta de Bolivar, the house belonged to Simon Bolivar. The tour continues to the iconic symbol of Bogota, the Monserrate Hill rising up to 3,152 above sea level, to visit the sanctuary where you will find the statue of the image of Christ called the Fallen Lord.  From there it is possible to enjoy the best view of Bogota. Note: Museums are closed on Mondays.
        At nightfall, one of our representatives will contact you at your hotel to take you to Club Colombia restaurant, where you could take the dinner surrounded of one of the most pleasant places in the city. After this you will return to the hotel.

        Day 3: Bogotá / Villa de Leyva

        A staff member from the company will meet you at the hotel, either in the morning or the afternoon, to take you on a  tour through La Sabana de Bogota to the town of Zipaquira, which name means 'city of our Father' in the language of the Chibcha. Back in pre-columbian times, salt around the area was the most important commodity and the ‘salt cakes’ were the only currency for trading. Over time, technology improved and the muiscas began to extract larger amounts of salt. As a result, an underground salt deposit was formed and it is where the Salt Cathedral was built, 180 meters below the surface. Inside, there is a chapel, “capilla de los mineros” built as a tribute to the Virgin “Our Lady of the Rosary of Guasá” (Guasá means 'mine' in Chibcha).
        After the tour, will take a typical lunch and will continue through the beautiful landscapes of Boyaca, Tunja and Villa de Leyva. The first stop will be at “el Puente de Boyaca”, where the battle in which the Country acquired its definite independence took place. Here you will see the obelisk and the triumphal arch. The tour will continue towards Tunja (which means 'mighty man' in Chibcha), a town that in times of the Muiscas was already of great relevance and continued to be so in the colonial times. There you will take a walk to visit the Founder's House, the home of the notary public Juan de Vargas and the Santo Domingo church, among other places.

        Day 4: Villa de Leyva / Pereira

        In the morning, will take a walk along the town to see the old colonial houses that have been transformed into museums and the convent of the Holy Ecce Homo, which since 1620 has attracted pilgrims from around the globe. At the end of this experience we will return to Bogota to take the flight to Pereira. Reception and transfer at chosen hotel.

        Day 5: Pereira

        At the agreed time, pick up at your hotel to take you on a road trip to the municipality of Buenavista and to the Hacienda San Alberto, where you will learn about the fascinating world of coffee. The Hacienda has the most extraordinary view, where you will be able to appreciate the mesmerizing beauty of the coffee plantations in the mountains in the south of el Quindio department.

        Day 6: Pereira

        A representative from Panamericana Travel DMC will pick you up at the hotel to take you to the municipality of Salento, located in the north of Armenia, to visit the Cocora Valley, the principal location of the national tree, the wax palm. After a warm welcome with a canelazo (typical colombian drink), a certified guide will take you to the natural cloud forest along the eco-trail to enjoy the magnificence of the palm trees and the trout hatcheries. At the end we will have some free time before going to Salento, a town of colorful balconies, handicraft workshops and a great viewpoint from where you can appreciate the place. The plan includes entry and lunch.

        Day  7: Pereira / Medellín

        In the morning, transfer to the airport to take the flight to Medellín. Reception and transfer at chosen hotel.
        In the afertnoon, you will have the opportunity to admire the largest collection of works donated by the artista Fernando Botero to Medellín and a visit to Cerro Nutibara, where you will see a replica of a typical village in Antioquia from the twentieth century that includes a church and the mayor’s office, the famous pueblito paisa. The tour includes a visit to the other places of great interest, such as the Metropolitan Cathedral, the Botero Square, the Park of desires, the Botanical Garden Joaquín Antonio Uribe, the Explora Park, the Bare Feet Park, the EPM Public Library, the old railway station and the residential and business area of El Poblado, known as the golden mile at the end, will go to Hato Viejo restaurant to take the dinner, in this place they could appreciate th culture of the región. Return to the hotel.

        Day  8: Medellín

        In the morning, a representative from Panamericana Travel DMC will pick you up at the hotel to take you on a tour along the eastern side of the region. We will be passing through the towns of Marinilla, where you will find colonial buildings and string instruments factories; the new El Peñol, a municipality that replaced the old El Peñol that was flooded to build the reservoir El Peñol - Guatape in the late 1970s. Next, we will visit La Piedra de El Peñol, a 220 meters high rock, and the municipality of Guatape, where you will see bedrocks and facades from the twentieth century, and in addition the esplanade of the reservoir. Lunch included. The ascent to the stone of the El Penol (659 steps) is optional.

        Day 9: Medellín / Cartagena

        At the agreed time, transfer to the airport to take the dlight to Cartagena. Reception and transfer at chosen hotel.
        In the afternoon, a representative from Panamericana Travel DMC will pick you up at the hotel to take you on a tour around Cartagena de Indias. The tour starts at the modern neighborhoods of Bocagrande and Manga, where you will be able to see the contrast between modern architecture and the beauty of the old houses from the twentieth century.  The historic center of Cartagena was declared Heritage of the Humanity by UNESCO in 1984. From here, we will go visit the Castle where the Spaniards sought to protect the city from the attacks of the English in the seventeenth century, “el Castillo de San Felipe de Barajas”. The tour will end at the hotel.

        Day  10: Cartagena

        In the moorning, a representative from Panamericana Travel DMC will pick you up at the hotel to drive you to the port of Cartagena and enjoy a relaxing day in one of the most beautifull beaches of Colombia, after 45 minutes boat ride along the Caribbean Sea, you will arrive to the San Pedro de Majagua Island. The island is located in the Corales del Rosario National Park and San Bernardo. During the day you can enjoy the facilities of the hotel San Pedro de Majagua, former home and studio of the French painter Pierre DAGUET. This place of small and cozy white sand beaches is just the perfect place to sunbathe and relax. The plan includes lunch at the hotel and departure tax.

        Day  12: Cartagena / Santa Marta

        At the agreed time, transfer overland to Santa Marta. Reception at the hotel.
        In the afternoon, one of our representatives will pick you up at the hotel again, to take you for a walk along the city. Santa Marta is one of the oldest cities in South America, founded in 1525. Walking along the beach, you will be able to enjoy a magnificent atmosphere. Then, you will visit the most emblematic places of the city, like the Quinta de San Pedro Alejandrino, the hacienda where Simon Bolivar died on December 17, 1830. At the end of the day, you will be able to appreciate a beautiful sunset in Taganga, a fishing village where the sky lights up with fire-orange tones at the end of the day. Return to the hotel.

        Day  13: Santa Marta

        One of our representatives will pick you up at the hotel in the morning to drive you from Santa Marta to the Natural National Park Tayrona, a reserve of 15,000 hectares of green tropical rainforest where we will visit the bay and the beach of Neguanje. A 10 minutes ride on a wooden boat (bongo) will take you to Playa Cristal. This beautiful place is the perfect place to enjoy crystal clear waters and white sand and it is ideal for sunbathing and diving in the coral reefs. Return to the hotel in Santa Marta in the evening.
        Notes: The tour includes Tayrona park ticket, transport, boat trip to Playa Cristal and typical lunch and is important to take in mind that for the entry to the park just we can conffirm the reservation with all personal data of the passengers as name and Lastname, ID number, date of birth and nationality.

        In the morning, one of our representatives will pick you up at the hotel to take you on a tour around Cartagena de Indias. Further ahead, up at the Cerro de la Popa, you will have the opportunity to appreciate the heart of Cartagena as well as the whole city.         NOTE: From the date and until further notice of the competent authorities, La Popa hill will be closed as it presents geological faults, instead, will visit the House Museum of San Pedro Claver.
        At nightfall, One of our representatives will pick you up at the hotel to take you for a ride on a horse-drawn carriage. During the tour you will be passing by the narrow streets of the city to see the elegant houses and balconies of more than 400 years adorned with flowers. After the ride, you will be taken for a dinner at one of the best restaurants in Cartagena to try the traditional dishes that have been present this city for centuries. Return to the hotel. Does not include transfer back to the hotel.

The Aviary is perfect to be surrounded by nature and breath pure air while you watch birds as imposing as the Harpy Eagle, one of the biggest in the world, and others which are facing extinction such as the Andean Condor. After this experience, which lasts about 2 hours, the itinerary will continue to the beautiful beaches of Barú, where you will be able to enjoy a dip in the sea. The entrance to the aviary and a refreshing beverage are included.

        One of our representatives will pick you up at the hotel to get you on a panoramic city tour where you will learn about some of the most interesting places in Medellín. You will visit the Bare Feet Park (Parque de los Pies Descalzos), the square where you can find some sculptures of the Colombian artist Fernando Botero, the Metropolitan Cathedral and Cerro Nutibara, where you will see a replica of a typical village in Antioquia from the twentieth century that includes a church and the mayor’s office, the famous pueblito paisa. The place is full with local food restaurants and craft shops and also will have the chance to make a stop at the perfect spot from where you can have a great view of the city.
        You will have time to take the lunch and then will start a tour by street artists belonging to the Hip Hop movement who live in the Comuna 13 in Medellín. The graffiti art seen on walls and facades depict stories of hope and the continuous search for better conditions of life for the community. The route begins in the San Javier neighborhood and ends by the escalators of Las Independencias I neighborhood.
        Tips: Wear comfortable clothes and shoes; bring a hat, sunglasses and sunblock. Don’t forget your camera.

We will be passing through the towns of Marinilla, where you will find colonial buildings and a fervent religious tradition; the new El Peñol, a municipality that replaced the old El Peñol that was flooded to build the reservoir El Peñol - Guatape in the late 1970s. Next, we will visit "La Piedra de El Peñol", a 220 meters high rock, and the Guatape town, where you will see facades from the twentieth century, besides we will see the little dock of the dam. Lunch included. The ascent to the stone of the El Penol (659 steps) is optional.

        In the morning, transfer to the airport to take the flight to Armenia or Pereira. Reception and transfer to the municipality of Calarca to get in touch with the essence of this region. The tour Recuca (Tour of the coffee culture) will teach you all about the process of growing coffee by participating of the activities at a coffee farm designed to recreate the labors of coffee farming. You will be able to collect coffee beans and wear the appropriate clothing for this job. The plan includes entry, 'guided tour' and a cup of coffee.

        La Chorrera is the highest waterfall in Colombia with a fall of 590m. Located just 45 minutes from Bogota, it is a hidden jewel forgotten by tourists or travel books, although it offers a pleasant tour through a small forest and with an incredible view of the surrounding mountains.
        The walk is relatively easy. It will take you 45 minutes to reach the entrance of El Chiflón and 1hour and 15 minutes to the bottom of La Chorrera. If you want to walk behind El Chiflón, the journey takes about 30 minutes, so the excursion generally lasts 4 to 5 hours. Lunch at Suizo Restaurant of town. Return to the hotel

        In the morning, one of our representatives will pick up at the hotel and transfer to Paloquemao traditional market where you could feel the experience to visit a “plaza de Mercado” of Bogotá, in this place you will choose the ingredients of “Ajiaco” that will be your lunch, then of the tour inside the place you will go to prepare this typical food. We recommend you that take a light breakfast because in the way you will taste different bites of Colombian Food.
